Grandma's Cherry Cola Jello Salad...

What's Thanksgiving without the dreaded fruit salad?
Come on... you know the one...
It's the one your mother made you take a few spoonfuls of so grandma wouldn't feel bad...
After all it's a lot of hard work opening those 3 cans of fruit cocktail and blending it all together with cool whip....
Well fear no more...
If you are a Jello fan...
Then this "fruit salad" is for you.
Cast of characters:
1/4 cup of sugar, 1 cup Cola, 1 16oz-20oz can crushed pineapple, 1 can cherry pie filling, 1 lg box of cherry Jello.
In a sauce pan bring 3/4 cup of water and 1/4 cup sugar to a boil...
Then add can of cherry pie filling...
and bring to a boil...
Pour cherry flavored jello into bowl...
When the cherry pie mixture is boiling add it to the dry jello... and stir until dissolved.
Then pour in the can of crushed pineapple...
Add 1 cup of Coke or Pepsi and stir...
Place in frig for a few hours until ready to serve.
This tastes delicious. It's my favorite jello recipe from my grandmother. If you are not a big fan of cranberry sauce try making this to serve along side your turkey instead.

Gobble... Gobble...Gobble...

I LOVE comments BUT if you know who we are...due to the fact that we are currently enrolled in the international witness relocation program because of a moon shining incident in Dingle, Ireland involving 3 Mutton, a pair of red shoes and a road flare .... please do not reveal our personal information.... You know.... like names, places, or our favorite brand of toilet paper :) Hey, thanks!
