Our little neighborhood has a tradition...
the two weeks surrounding Christmas we tend to drop
off treats on each others front porches...
unannounced...
you just open your door... and there they are
So far... our front porch has received the following items...
Cookies... which were consumed within 2 minutes of drop off...
Houseplant ...
Christmas Ornament... no re-gifting this one... it's a keeper!
Cheesecake...from Mrs. Hillbilly...
I had to quickly slice it...
wrap it...
and stick it in the garage freezer
so I didn't hide out in the shower and consume 3 pieces of it like some sort of wild animal...(like I did last year) and then moan (like I did last year) and eventually throw up (like I did last year) because I have no self control over rich... once a year... homemade... cream cheese filled cake of rich... buttery... goodness.
*****
and then I found this...
I'm thinking my neighbor either
1). Dislikes me immensely... or
2). That darn stinkin Rickie Raccoon got to it before I did.

What a nice tradition! Such a great group of neighbours you have ~ I suppose that's neighbors (since you are in the USA)...but I am Canadian and cannot get used to spelling the American way! ;-)
ReplyDeleteSo sorry that the raccoon struck again! We have had a visitor (raccoon) on our deck the last few evenings...boy are they ever bold creatures!!
Have a wonderful CHRISTmas Mavis!
Blessings,
Camille
